What to do when your PitBull goes for a Zoomie

You're probably asking yourself: "What the heck is a Zoomie?"

If you own a pit then I'm sure you've experienced it.  All is quiet around the house.  Your pitbull is taking a nap and you're relaxing on the couch.

All of the sudden she sits up, takes one look at you, and she's off to the races. No need to slow down for walls or corners; she doesn't even notice as she bounces off them. Now she's coming back toward you.  The mouth is wide open, showing off the giant cheeks.  You can't help but laugh at her silly smile and the way she drags her back legs like there's a monster nipping at her tail.  

That, my friends, is a Zoomie!

What do you do when your pit bull runs around and goes crazy?  If your lucky, after a couple laps she lies down as if it never even happened.  If you're not so lucky, I have two words for you: spray bottle.  Nothing works better on Dakota for stopping an unwanted behavior than a spray bottle.  I set it to spray a nice stream (like a squirt gun). I can get her from 12 ft away.  Barking at the mailman, the neighbor kids, or casing our chihuahua; one squirt and she's done.
